PolicySF is an exciting new effort being launched by Mayor Gavin Newsom to help communities share good ideas with one another. In San Francisco, we have developed a number of programs we are extremely proud of such as banning plastic shopping bags, Project Homeless Connect, Bank on San Francisco and Healthy San Francisco. However, we still have much we want to accomplish.

In San Francisco, we are proud to have a culture of innovation in government, non-profits and the community at large that leads to creative policy solutions to some of our toughest challenges. We want to open up our policy innovations to a broader community of government and community leaders with the hope of propelling these good ideas even further. Our hope is that you find parts or all of our policies helpful to you as you work to improve your own community.
